Corporate Diwali gifts under ₹1,000 that people actually keep
Share
Every Diwali, offices across India face the same quiet problem: what do you give a small team that feels thoughtful, stays under ₹1,000 per person, and actually gets used long after the lights come down?
The answer is simple: useful desk gifts — a notebook someone will write in, coasters for their chai, a photo frame for their desk — get used every day. They feel personal without being awkward, and they say "we noticed you" without a big logo stamp.
Here's a practical guide to corporate Diwali gifting under ₹1,000 for small offices, startups and close-knit teams.
Why useful desk gifts make the best Diwali gifts
A notebook that matches someone's style, or a small desk piece they see every morning, sticks around long after Diwali is over.
For small offices, that matters even more. You're choosing a handful of gifts that feel considered. Stationery and desk accessories fit that brief: they're professional enough for the workplace, warm enough for Diwali, and priced so you can gift the whole team without stretching the budget.
Corporate gifting in India has been shifting toward curated, useful bundles — notebook plus a desk accessory. Moodboard's range sits right in that sweet spot: aesthetic, practical, and easy to mix into under-₹1,000 combos.
1. The classic desk notebook (from ₹399)
A good notebook is the safest corporate Diwali gift. It works for designers, managers, interns and founders alike. Softcovers are ₹399; hardcovers are ₹450.
Easy picks that look polished on a desk:
- Twilight Gradient — calm colours for the quietly creative teammate
- Mint Matrix — clean grids for planners and meeting notes
- Tangerine Dream — bright and warm, very festive
- Golden Ochre — a hardcover that feels Diwali-ready without being loud
Approx total: ₹399–₹450 for one notebook.
2. Notebook + chai-toast coasters (~₹689–₹740)
Pair any softcover notebook with our Chai-Toast Coasters (Set of 2) at ₹290. It's a small desk ritual gift: somewhere for the chai cup, and a notebook for whatever comes next.
This combo works especially well for teams that work late, hybrid folks who hop between home and office, or anyone who always has a mug beside their laptop.
Approx total: ₹399 + ₹290 = ₹689 (softcover), or ₹450 + ₹290 = ₹740 (hardcover).
3. Affirmation cards + photo card holder (~₹598)
For the teammate who loves a little morning motivation, pair the Manifestation & Positive Affirmation Cards (₹399, 30 cards) with a Photo Card Holder (₹199). They can prop a card on their desk each day — or drop in a Polaroid from the team outing.
Heart Pink, Heart Red and Semicircular Yellow holders are in stock, so you can mix colours across the team without everyone getting the same one.
Approx total: ₹399 + ₹199 = ₹598.
4. Wooden photo frame for their desk (~₹499)
A Wooden Photo Frame at ₹499 is a single-item gift that feels finished. Hand-painted floral frames from Banaras look warm on a desk and leave room for a personal touch: a printed team photo, a family picture, or a Diwali selfie from last year.
Kesari Pushp (orange) and Neel Pushp (blue) are both in stock — easy to split by preference or desk colour.
Approx total: ₹499.
5. Notebook + photo card holder (~₹598–₹649)
Keep it light and useful: a softcover notebook plus a Photo Card Holder. Perfect when you want something under ₹650 that still feels like a set.
Approx total: ₹399 + ₹199 = ₹598, or ₹450 + ₹199 = ₹649.
6. The "full desk" trio under ₹1,000 (~₹888)
When you want one gift that covers writing, chai and a little desk cheer:
- Softcover notebook (e.g. Twilight Gradient or Mint Matrix) — ₹399
- Chai-Toast Coasters — ₹290
- Photo Card Holder — ₹199
Approx total: ₹399 + ₹290 + ₹199 = ₹888.
Still under budget, still useful every weekday.
How to choose for different colleagues
| Colleague | Try this | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| The planner / ops lead | Mint Matrix softcover | Grids for lists and meeting notes |
| The creative | Twilight Gradient or Tangerine Dream | Covers they'll actually enjoy opening |
| The chai-on-desk person | Notebook + coasters | Matches a habit they already have |
| The new joiner | Affirmation cards + photo card holder | Warm welcome without being heavy |
| Leadership / client-facing | Golden Ochre hardcover or photo frame | Feels a little more substantial |
| Whole small team (same budget) | Softcover notebooks in mixed designs | Same price, different personality |
A few practical tips:
- Mix designs, keep the price band. Giving everyone the same cover looks like a bulk order. Mixing Twilight, Mint, Tangerine and Golden Ochre still lands around ₹399–₹450 each.
- Skip the logo anxiety. Moodboard pieces are ready as-is — no waiting on custom printing.
- Order early. Diwali is 8 November 2026. Orders usually arrive in about 7–14 business days across India, so aim to place yours by around 20 October so gifts land before celebrations.
If the budget stretches a little
Most of the ideas above stay comfortably under ₹1,000. If one or two people on the team get a slightly bigger thank-you, The Moodboard Junk Journal Kit (₹1,499) is a fuller creative set — better as an exception than as the under-₹1,000 default.
